Research Summary | My research area is in Chimeric Antigen Receptor (CAR) T cell design and characterization. Most recently, this includes engineering of the extracellular domain Nkp30 for increased binding affinity to the tumor ligand B7H6 through directed evolution. I am also using this approach to enhance CAR signaling by increasing the binding affinity of intracellular signaling domains OX40 and 4-1BB to their shared binding partner, TRAF2. Lastly, I am optimizing a novel engineering approach that will allow for selection of unique CARs based upon effector function directly. |
